Ultraformer MPT

Ultraformer MPT

Ultraformer MPT

4.5mmDeeper facial or neck planningConfirm adequate tissue and anatomical clearance
6.0~13.0mmSelected body applicationsConfirm intended use, fat thickness and treatment area

This table describes selection logic, not permission to treat a specific structure.

Deeper treatment is not automatically better treatment. Do not select depth solely to increase treatment intensity.

11. Treatment Mode Selection

Confirm that the selected mode is supported by the attached cartridge.

The official device documentation should determine which modes are available. Depending on configuration, these may include:

  • Normal or Dot Mode
  • MP Mode
  • Circular Normal Mode
  • Circular MP Mode

Record the clinical reason for selecting each mode.

Zone
[zone][cartridge][mode][reason]
[zone][cartridge][mode][reason]

Do not treat marketing descriptions of a mode as a clinical protocol.

12. Parameter Authorization

The clinic’s approved parameter table should be completed from the current IFU or a formally approved, model-specific protocol.

SpacingMaximum lines/shots
[zone][cartridge][mode][verified value][verified range][value][value][value]

Each parameter must identify its source:

  • IFU page or section
  • Manufacturer-issued training
  • Approved clinical protocol
  • Qualified clinical supervisor

Do not mix energy ranges from different cartridges or operating modes.

Do not publish one energy range as appropriate for every face or body treatment.

13. Skin Preparation

Before treatment:

  1. Remove makeup, skincare products and surface oil.
  2. Clean the treatment area according to clinic procedure.
  3. Remove jewelry and other items that interfere with treatment.
  4. Reconfirm the treatment markings.
  5. Position the patient so the operator can maintain stable contact.

Both the operator and assisting staff member, where present, should confirm the time-out.

15. Initial Test Delivery

Where permitted by the current IFU and clinic protocol:

  1. Select an appropriate test location.
  2. Confirm full cartridge contact.
  3. Begin at the approved starting parameter.
  4. Deliver the permitted test exposure.
  5. Ask the patient to describe the sensation.
  6. Inspect the tissue response.
  7. Confirm that no abnormal pain or device warning occurred.
  8. Record any adjustment and the reason.

A tolerated test exposure does not guarantee that the same setting is appropriate throughout the treatment area.

16. Treatment Delivery

During treatment:

  • Maintain full, stable cartridge contact.
  • Maintain adequate coupling medium.
  • Follow the approved treatment map.
  • Use the direction and spacing defined in the controlled protocol.
  • Avoid unplanned stacking or repeated firing over the same point.
  • Reassess anatomy whenever the treatment direction changes.
  • Reassess contact after repositioning the patient.
  • Observe the device display after every delivery.
  • Communicate with the patient throughout the procedure.
  • Record cartridge or parameter changes by zone.
  • Pause if the operator loses orientation on the treatment map.
  • Stop if contact cannot be maintained.

Do not fire over an unmarked area merely to reach a target line or shot count.

17. Patient Monitoring

Ask the patient to report:

  • Electric or shooting sensations
  • Pain travelling along a nerve pathway
  • Sudden numbness
  • Burning
  • Pain that persists after energy delivery

Monitor:

  • Patient speech and facial movement
  • Device warnings
  • Coupling quality
  • Operator hand position
  • Accumulated delivery by zone

Pain intensity alone is not a sufficient safety measure. The quality and location of pain also matter.

18. Mandatory Stop Criteria

Stop treatment immediately if any of the following occurs:

  • Radiating nerve-like pain
  • Unexpected muscle contraction
  • New weakness or altered movement
  • Persistent numbness

  • Any event outside the approved protocol

Do not resume treatment until the cause has been assessed and it is safe and authorized to continue.

19. Cartridge or Mode Change

Before changing cartridge or mode:

  1. Stop energy delivery.
  2. Confirm the next treatment zone.
  3. Reassess tissue thickness and anatomy.
  4. Inspect the new cartridge.
  5. Confirm cartridge recognition on the device.
  6. Confirm the permitted mode.
  7. Load the correct parameter table.
  8. Update the treatment record.
  9. Repeat the required time-out.
  10. Reconfirm coupling and contact.

Do not assume that settings transfer between cartridges.

20. Post-Treatment Assessment

Immediately after treatment:

  • Inspect every treated zone.
  • Assess redness, swelling, tenderness and sensation.
  • Check facial movement when relevant.
  • Compare bilateral areas.
  • Photograph unexpected findings.
  • Record the final cartridge counts.
  • Record total delivery by zone.
  • Document every parameter change.
  • Document any deviation from the planned protocol.
  • Provide written aftercare.
  • Arrange follow-up.

Do not describe an unexpected reaction as normal without assessment.

21. Aftercare Instructions

Aftercare should be adapted to the treatment area and immediate response.

General instructions may include:

  • Keep the area clean.
  • Avoid rubbing or unnecessary pressure immediately after treatment.
  • Use gentle skincare if the skin is sensitive.
  • Apply broad-spectrum sunscreen to exposed areas.
  • Avoid excessive heat or strenuous activity when advised.
  • Do not schedule another energy-based procedure without discussing timing.
  • Report worsening pain, swelling, numbness, weakness or skin changes.
  • Use only post-treatment products approved by the clinic.

Give the patient written emergency contact information.

22. Treatment Record

The completed record should include:

  • Patient identifier
  • Treatment date and time
  • Operator
  • Supervising clinician, if applicable
  • Device model and serial number

Incomplete treatment records should be treated as a quality-control failure.

23. Follow-Up

At follow-up, document:

  • Patient-reported recovery
  • Pain or tenderness
  • Altered sensation
  • Weakness or movement changes
  • Skin changes
  • Standardized photographs
  • Change in the original concern
  • Whether further treatment is appropriate

Use the same photography method as baseline.

Do not recommend another session automatically. Base the decision on treatment response, safety and professional assessment.

24. Adverse-Event Escalation

Each clinic should maintain a written escalation pathway identifying:

  • Supervising clinician
  • Emergency referral route
  • Device supplier’s technical contact
  • Manufacturer contact
  • Person responsible for adverse-event documentation
  • Process for isolating the cartridge or device
  • Process for preserving device logs
  • Applicable regulatory reporting requirements
  • Patient follow-up responsibility

If a cartridge or device fault is suspected:

  1. Stop using the component.
  2. Label and isolate it.

  • Parameter deviations
  • Adverse events
  • Cartridge failures
  • Maintenance history
  • Patient follow-up completion
  • Photography consistency
  • Consent documentation
  • IFU updates
  • Regulatory changes

Review the protocol whenever:

  • Software is updated
  • A new cartridge is introduced
  • The manufacturer changes the IFU
  • An adverse event occurs
  • A new operator is authorized
  • The clinic changes its treatment scope

The procedures differ in energy type, invasiveness, treatment planning and recovery considerations.

What Clinics Should Check Before Buying

Clinics should evaluate the complete operating system rather than only the advertised purchase price.

Ask the supplier to confirm:

  1. Exact device model and manufacturer.
  2. Whether the system is original, compatible or independently manufactured.
  3. Included handpieces and cartridges.
  4. Cartridge shot limits.
  5. Replacement-cartridge costs.
  6. Supported treatment modes.
  7. Operator manual availability.
  8. Training and onboarding.
  9. Warranty coverage.
  10. Spare-parts availability.
  11. Technical support and repair arrangements.
  12. Shipping and installation.
  13. Electrical requirements.
  14. Documentation applicable to the destination market.

Do not assume that a general CE, FDA or ISO statement applies to the exact system. Request model-specific documents and verify their scope and validity.
