XERF is a non-invasive monopolar RF system with three thermal diffusion modes for different treatment areas and tissue thicknesses. It combines Wave Fit multi-pulse delivery, impedance synchronization, surface-temperature monitoring, and adjustable ICD cooling.

The standard package includes four Effector sizes, with 40 Effectors in total, plus patient return pads, video training, and operating documentation.

Monopolar RF delivers electrical energy from a treatment electrode through the tissue to a patient return electrode. Tissue resistance converts this energy into heat, which can produce collagen contraction and support subsequent tissue remodelling.

Skin thickness, tissue composition, and contours vary across the face and neck. XERF uses two frequencies and three selectable modes to adjust thermal diffusion to the treatment area.

The Effectors use a spider-pattern electrode designed to distribute energy across the contact surface and reduce concentration at the edges. Proper skin contact must be maintained during RF delivery.

Effector selection depends on the area’s size, contours, and tissue thickness. Shot count alone does not indicate treatment energy; contact size, pulse energy, accumulated energy, and treatment mode also matter.

Treatment areas and objectives

Potential treatment areas include the forehead, periorbital and perioral regions, cheeks, lower face, jawline, jowls, submental area, and neck. Treatment must follow the device’s authorized indications and local requirements.

Treatment objectives may include improving the appearance of mild to moderate skin laxity, fine lines, reduced elasticity, and loss of facial definition.

Treatment process

Patients can generally resume daily activities shortly afterward, subject to their skin response and aftercare instructions.
