Monopolar RF delivers electrical energy from a treatment electrode through the tissue to a patient return electrode. Tissue resistance converts this energy into heat, which can produce collagen contraction and support subsequent tissue remodelling.

The Effectors use a spider-pattern electrode designed to distribute energy across the contact surface and reduce concentration at the edges. Proper skin contact must be maintained during RF delivery.
